Power Rangers Network and Cable Scheduling
Posted on 19:38 by Unknown
I thank Burgundy Ranger of Power Rangers On-Air Central for this help on scheduling. He specializes in archiving the scheduling of programs, including Power Rangers. I wanted to make a record to as to what times have Power Rangers have aired on Network and Cable television.
On Fox: 11:30am / 7:30am (weekdays, 3:30pm for afternoon affiliates) / 8:30am / 8:00am / 9:00am / 9:30am ... 8:30am weekdays (4:30 pm for afternoon affiliates) / 10:30am / 11am
Affiliates could change the times. In Washington DC, Burgundy Ranger says 3-5pm and then 2-4 on weekdays. For my local city of Miami, it was early affiliate at 7:30am and then changed to 4:30pm on weekdays.
Fox then had 'Prime Time Power Rangers' in 1994 on three Fridays. First week July 21, 1994, Mutiny Part 1 at 8PM and X-Men at 8:30 and then second week July 29 at 8PM with Mutiny Part 2. Mutiny Part 3 aired August 5th at 8PM. I think one of the parts aired at 8:30PM.

ABC (all times Eastern): 11:30, 12:00, 12:30. 5 a.m. was never part of a set network schedule. It was up to the affiliate. I heard that some affiliates aired it at 5, 7, and 8 AM. My affiliate did Wild Force and Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder at 11:30am and 12pm and everything from SPD to RPM was at 5am and 5:30am. Retrofan says his local station did 6am and 10am. ABC only did Saturdays.
On ABC Family, the Jetix block aired from 7am to 12, I am not sure about the times of Power Rangers. I think Dino Thunder aired like at 8 or 9. And repeats of past seasons aired at 8 and 11 or something like that. Marathons did run of PR but I am not sure if it was 7am to 12. ABC Family did Sundays. I forgot that there was a brief period where FOX Family was transitioning into ABC Family.
On Toon Disney, I know PR aired at 8pm. It might have aired at different hours, I am not sure. I didn't have Toon Disney. Toon Disney air PR almost every day.
On Nickelodeon, they have aired Power Rangers Samurai on Sunday at 12 and then Saturdays at 12 and sometimes at 12:30 and now I hear in an early time.
On Nick Toons, they have played marathons so it is possible they have played Power Rangers at every time. Nick Toons have played PR on every single day practically. Sometimes skip a day but eventually that day does get PR airing.
And now on the CW, Power Rangers Lost Galaxy airs at 8am in the Vortexx block.

What is Power Force?
Posted on 21:20 by Unknown
This weeks' polls are brought to you by my fellow blogger Pat Domonia except for the top one I just put about Power Force. Surprisingly, there is a lot of votes for "What is Power Force?" I thought it was explained before but here it goes again...
Originally called "Super Fans Power Force," it is alluded to in a press release for Power Rangers Megaforce in June. Then in July, the applications were available on Powerrangers.com and a few fans were already selected such as my Ranger Central site partner Mike Bastian (MikeRC), Joe Rovang, Lisa J, Power Morphicon and a few others. I applied. At first I thought it was for anybody. Fans complained about 'Super Fans' saying that it was not good, eltist and they felt left out. So they removed 'Super Fans.'
So to coincide with Power Morphicon, they invited us to a breakfast for Power Force, those members that were going to PMC. There I finally learned what Power Force was. A thousand people applied but they only picked 20. Basically they wanted a small group of influential web fans that do websites, blogs, vlogs, youtube videos, podcasts, films and other stuff. We are basically representatives. They said their licensees also want to know our feedback on products. And they are planning to international sectors of Power Force. So watch out Canada, United Kingdom, Latin America and other regions. So I hope that is clarified already. Also, if you want to see Power Force members interact, check out Twitter and follow me!

Why Yellow in this and Pink in that? No Yellow Samurai Ranger Costume
Posted on 20:57 by Unknown
Here I go again with the ongoing debate on female rangers in merchandise. It is confusing as to why some merchandise has Pink Ranger only and other has only Yellow Ranger and why not both.
A shocker this year was that we got the Pink Ranger Mega Mode mask (that I reviewed) and not Yellow. They rarely make any Pink Ranger masks. Bandai has never made one. The mask was made by Bandai. As for the Halloween costumes, every time there is a Pink Ranger, a kids costume is made. If there is a Pink Ranger, there is no Yellow. If there is no Pink, there's Yellow. Last Halloween, we didn't get Yellow and Green. This year we get Green but no Yellow.
The above left picture of the MegaBloks is another shocker. The Mega Bloks have 'Hero Packs' that have cockpits with figures. We don't have Pink Ranger Hero Pack nor Pink Ranger Turtle Zord. But now a shocker is that a repackaging of the Samurai Megazord has four cockpits with figures. They are a bonus. They have Red, Blue, Gold and Pink. Some fans made their own Pink cockpits and now to find out they made it. People, including me, were confused as to why Yellow got Megabloks stuff and not Pink.
Yellow gets more figures in MegaBloks than Pink and also her Ape Zord. In Megaforce, Yellow Ranger will also be getting her zord and figure. So why does Yellow get more Megabloks stuff but no costume or mask? And why does Pink get costume and mask and less Megabloks stuff, no hero pack nor own zord? Theory could be that kids would be most likely to buy Yellow Ranger Mega Bloks toys other than Pink. And they make Pink Ranger masks and costumes for little girls, little sisters, so I am sure parents will buy the costumes and masks for their girls to play with their brothers. But why no Yellow? ::Shrug:: It would be awesome to have a whole team in the kids costumes.
Yellow Cheetah Ranger Costume is on sale for $5 at my local Party City!
