I was hoping Violet would be female but Script Reviewer Koichi Yamada (@kyoryuviolet) confirms that Violet will be male. His English is really good, he says he studied in the Philippines (English is common there). I found him looking for any info on Kyoryu Violet. Insert jokes about ten men and one woman here.

Obscure Colors Rangers

I have kind of covered obscure colors before but not quite like this. A friend of mine asked me if there ever was an orange ranger. Here are obscure or rare colors.

ORANGE

In Power Rangers SPD (2005), Boom dreamed to be a ranger and had a fantasy and had a B-Squad uniform and a repainted Power Rangers Space helmet (Yellow) without black visor on top.

In Super Sentai, they had a fully Orange warrior in Battle Cossack of Battle Fever J in 1979. Deka Swan of Dekaranger/Kat Ranger of Power Rangers SPD was White with Orange. Geki Chopper of Gekiranger/Rhino Ranger of Power Rangers Jungle Fury is white with black and orange trims.

NAVY

Kuwagata Raijer of Hurricanger / Navy Ranger of Ninja Storm is the first warrior with a darker shade of blue than usual. The second is coming up soon in the Kyoryuger movie in the summer, he is Kyoryu Navy, which might become Power Rangers in 2016.

CRIMSON  Kabuto Raijer of Hurricanger / Crimson Ranger of Ninja Storm was a darker shade of red, and considered crimson in Power Rangers. Many fans clump him with Red Rangers and others consider him the closest thing to a male Pink Ranger.

VIOLET

One of my favorite rangers is obviously Geki Violet of Gekiranger / Violet Wolf Ranger of Power Rangers Jungle Fury. We will be getting a second Violet Ranger in KyoryuViolet, who will be male.

CYAN

 Some of the female Blue Rangers have had a light blue color that my nephew's girlfriend has referred to as 'turquoise.' These include Blue Swallow of Jetman, Hurricane Blue of Hurricanger/Blue Wind Ranger of Ninja Storm and MagiBlue of Magiranger/Blue Mystic Ranger of Mystic Force. Also included is Ninja Blue of Kakuranger / Blue Aquitar Ranger (second on top), which is male. Power Rangers Jungle Fury had the Shark Ranger (bottom center) which is cyan but they never mentioned it. Kyoryu Cyan (bottom right) recently in Kyoryuger (2013).



TITANIUM/GREY

 Titanium Ranger is an exclusive Power Ranger not in Super Sentai and came out in 1999 with Lightspeed Rescue. Now Kyoryu Gray is coming out in Kyoryuger. He is not considered a silver ranger but for years Titanium Ranger was considered a Silver Ranger. I think they are similar but some people say no, it depends on the lighting. I think Titanium is no so shiny, I think its more like a dull dark grey. The first Silver Ranger was more like a white.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Preview from the Licensing Expo

I heard this from my buddy Morphin Legacy who got this from Nate (and RangerCrew’s users for adding it). This is the 2013 Las Vegas Licensing Expo Preview issue of The Licensing Source Book Europe. I was going to go to the Licensing Expo in June but I got into money troubles and decided not to go. Fury Diamond will be going. I personally feel there will be a big thing of Rangers like they did in 2011, but Fury Diamond says not to expect much. In fact, he was surprised there will be Super Megaforce stuff.

Kyoryu Grey is coming!

UPDATED 5/31/13 11PM EST

 

Bunpachy's partner Kyoryu Grey will be played by Masayuki Deai, who did Eiji/Bouken Silver in Boukenger (with a bald cap). He is the Violent Brave from 1500 years ago. He was from a clan that mastered the Iron-Breaking Fist, and is here to teach the Kyoryuger's the said technique and strengthen their body. His finishing move or favorite skill is the Violent Charge.

 

There has been 8 silver rangers and he is the first gray ranger but his suit is a similar color to Titanium Ranger as it is a dull color.  I like the balance of different shades of grey with different color tones, with silver and grey.

Power Rider Trademark extended A SECOND TIME

SCG POWER RANGERS LLC sent an application for trademark of Power Rider in July of 2011, it was granted in September. Then they filed extension and it was granted in May of 2012. April of 2013 it was approved for a second extension. But nothing has happened with it. What is the difference between Copyright and Trademark?

 

The purpose of a copyright is to protect works of authorship as fixed in a tangible form of expression. The registration processes of copyright and trademark are entirely different. For copyright the filing fee is small, the time to obtain registration is short. For trademark the filing fee is larger, the time to obtain registration is much longer and examination by the Trademark Office. The purpose of a trademark is to protect words, phrases and logos used in federally regulated commerce to identify the source of goods and/or services.

 

Many fans think that Power Rider has to do with Kamen Rider, which is also made by Toei like Super Sentai. Saban adapted Kamen Rider Black RX into Masked Rider in 1995. Adness Entertainment adapted Kamen Rider Ryuki (2002) into Kamen Rider Dragon Knight in 2009. Many fans want Kamen Rider Fourze (2012) to be adapted into Power Rider. But maybe Power Rider is something else or just a trademark to get one 'just cause.'

Akibaranger Season 2 Episode 6 Review

 Summary:

Genera Pain is in line at a restaurant and a fairy Yuru Sanae gives out flyers. General Pain hates cutey mascots. He grabs her box head. Back at headquarters, Red shows off his new hanger based on new Aoi-- he had a friend make a real version of it. Luna arrives and says she decided who will be the fourth member. She picked an idol named Choco to be 'Akiba Pink.' General Pain makes one like the mascot. Red takes Luna to the shop to learn more about Sentai. Kids makes kids into things they hate like Vegetables and math book. Akibaranger transform and introduce themselves.

The monster says it was amazing and wants tea. AkibaRed notices the bug on her chest from Jetman. She says she is a Dimension Beast: CutieChara Dimension. Red is all over her and the girls tell him not to fall for her. She does a cute face, he hugs her and leaves a bomb on his chest. It explodes and he falls. The girls fight her. Marushina arrives and explains what happened to General Pain. Cutie tries destroying them and is stopped. She looks a bit like Sailor Moon, she is the Choco Idol and fights the monster. Red gets in the way. Cutie turns Choco into a vegetable. Marushina and Cutie disappear. The vegetable disappears.

 

In the real world, Red gets a call and in Choco's blog, her face changed into one of the grunts. General Pain is shocked by this as well. Marushina has no idea why, not even knowing who Choco is. The trio arrive HQ. Red apologizes, saying its his own fault. Hakase says he was acting different. Red confesses he has a fetish for smooth shiny robotic girls. The women are grossed out. He says it started in kindergarten (back in 1988) with Colon in Liveman. He thought she was cute. Yellow figures out he likes Aoi too because of that. Hakase dresses in a shiny pink suit (with one of Sailor Moon's brooches on her belt) for Red to attack her but he hurts her. He says because of her face. She gets mad and the girls hold him back. He apologizes and leaves the studio.

Luna says without him, they can't beat the woman. Red laments by himself. He gets a call from Hakase to save the others. He is hesitant. The girls and Cutie fight. They get beat up and Red arrives in his car. He ignores looking at her. She jumps in front of him and kicks him down. She has her guard down and they put a bag over her head. She burns off the bag and does a cute face, Red melts. She climbs on top of Red. Hakase has one more plan. Akibaranger get beat up, Marushina arrives. Cutie gets on top of Red and slaps him. Red hears a male voice from his changer and is narrator Tanaka Nobou and narrates a good storyline for him.Red goes super mode and makes a new weapon and peels off a black sticker off his visor and destroys the monster. He thanks Tanka. At HQ, Hakase gives money to him and he leaves. Choco returns to her true face. General Pain is shaken. He opens up a box with a sculpture of Tentoraijer.

Akibaranger Season 2 Episode 7 Review

Summary:

General Pain Two is upset at the defeat of his villains. He drew drawings based on Marushina's discriptions of the Akibaranger. He figures there must be someone else that has delusions. Marushina suggests getting a monster that will actually do what he says. Yellow is worried what the villains want. Blue is still stuck on being an idol. Then Nanami's actress dressed as an angel and takes Otaku's hearts and eat them. They then go get jobs. Akibatanger confront her. She changes into Tentoraijer with Jakanja symbol. Hadezkin, a 10th spear. The Akibaranger transform.

The Gouraijer appear , saying they are eight and ninth Jakanja. Hadezkin says she ate the hearts of justice of them. General Pain is not happy, he says that the Gouraijer were initially to be called the Kagerangers (this is just Akibaranger re-writing real life rumors) in the preview when Gaoranger was airing. but the producers changed their mind and he created the yellow one. The three Jankanja present themselves as Jakan Red, Kabutoraijer, Jakan Blue, Kuwataraijer and Jakan Yellow, Tentoraijer. The six fight. Tentirajer calls General Pain her father. They take the Akibaranger down.

The delusion is shut down and the Akibaranger leave. General Pain wanted the Hurricanger appear and they could all fight. The calander changes and now a week is 10 days because the Jakanja were based on days of the weeks and now 10. Now with months of 3 weeks, Sentai episodes go down to 37 days. The Akibaranger freak out about this and other Sentai events. Kyoto has now a law to seize all Otaku stuff and empty out the café and then the next day Sentai songs are banned in Karaoke. The 10th day, cosplay is banned. Yuko is jogging outside and is spotted by FBI-looking men and they chase her.

General Pain comes out of the restaurant and is also confronted. Akibaranger meet with General Pain, gas comes in on them. The gas turns into Tentoraijer. General Pain is quietly happy, the Akiabranger transform in front of him, without knowing who he is. The Akibaranger fight the Gouraijer in the Delusional World. Blue fights Tentoraijer. AkibaRed and Yellow try doing Hurricanger moves but are ignored by the Gouraijer. Blue does Ninjaman's bomber but doesn't work. Red is knocked out. General Pain pulls a lever. General Pain appears in the Delusional World, he tells Mrushina to be cute. AkibaRed is shocked to find out he is General Pain.

The Hurricanger arrive. General Pain is happy. Hurricanger beat up the Gouraijer. They do a payback move. AkibaYellow takes out a basket and dresses Hurricane Red with a Shinkenger Fire Mode symbol and he gains the bat. The Gouraijer return to normal. General Pain disappears. Red's boss has him sign for a package. Hurricanger and Goraijer and Akibaranger present themselves. Marushina and Tentoraijer say its not fair 8 against 2. Marushina leaves. Hurricanger make the Penultimate power which looks like a Karakuki ball called Hurricane Ball and destroys Tentoraijer down. Weeks return to normal. All otaku stuff returns. AkibaRed says they know more about General Pain, that he is the best villain otaku. General Pain makes another Tentoraijer.

A little quick, I thought this one was going to take 2 episodes but by the previews, it looks like Tentoraijer will be back for Episode 8.

Who is who in "Mega War"

The Chart who everyone has agreed is there, there might be some more we haven't seen like Red Tiger Ranger (Jungle Fury) and a few more Mystic Force or Zeo Rangers. We got 4 teams of 5 (RPM, SPD, PROO and Aquitar) out of the 17 teams. 6 teams of 3 (Samurai, NS, WF, PRLR Zeo, and PRiS), 5 teams of 2 (MMPR, Turbo, TF, MF, and JF), and 2 teams of 4 (Lost Galaxy, Dino Thunder). Now MF and JF could be teams of 3.

JDF called it the 'Mega War' but we still don't know if this will be at the end of Season 1 (Megaforce) or at the beginning of Season 2 (Super Megaforce) or at the end of it all.

This was already shot. This a shot I and other fans believe was made in New Zealand and not Japan. It has Samurai Red, Jungle Fury and Mystic Force Rangers that were not included in the shot with the veterans. SPD Green and Yellow are in it but maybe to connect the two groups. This shot is from Troy's dream in the first episode "Mega Mission" mixed in with Gokaiger footage.

Actor Sean Datar (https://twitter.com/sean_in_the_mix) was there and was told he would be Lightspeed Blue but ended up being RPM Ranger Blue. I asked him on Twitter and he says that all the teams were represented. I sent him a picture of Aquitar Rangers and asked him if he was there, he said yes.
